We have terms like 'pre poo, co wash, no poo' etc. Well, in today's class post, i would be explaining what this abbreviations stands for and their meanings.. Note that i may not mention them all but i would try to mention the popular ones...
AFRO this is when you leave hair up and loose...
BC (big chop) cutting off the relaxed hair and leaving the natural growth
NATURAL HAIR hair that hasn't been processed by chemicals.
NO-POO this means that no shampoo was used during cleansing.
OVER PROCESSED HAIR this means when the hair chemicals has been used so much that the hair is damaged.
CO_WASH cleansing the hair with the right conditioner and without the shampoo.
DUSTING trimming of the hair,,,,
HG(holygrail) products you have tried, worked well for you and you plan staying true to.
PRODUCT JUNKY a person that buys almost every product she comes across.
PRE_POO any ritual you perform before shampooing.
SEALING the process of applying natural oils to lock in moisture, following the application of conditioner or after cleansing...
TWA teeny weeny afro... those days when your hair is in its early stages..
WASH N GO refers to when you cleanse and condition, then apply your styling cream and you are good to go,.
HAND IN HAIR a form of disease whereby you cant keep your hands to yourself but your hair.
PROTECTIVE STYLING an hairstyle that helps protect your ends from damages..
SHRINKAGE this is when the natural hair dries out and reduce in visually.
