DIY - WHIPPED SHEA BUTTER!

Shea butter is a natural hair conditioner and moisturizer. It can be found largely in west africa and in this part of the world it's been used as hair and body cream, its also therapeutic.

Some of the uses of Shea butter

 - it provides moisture for dry scalp.
- It's a good sealant ( helps lock and retain moisture)
- Helps product hair from damages caused by sunlight.
- Softens hair.

Shea butter in it's natural state can be annoying, because it's so firm and we mostly find it hard to distribute evenly. In today's post, am going to be sharing how to whip your Shea butter, which makes it fluffy and easier to apply..

   Prep time.           : 20mins
   Amount spent. : 200 naira

                                               Things needed
 -.  Shea butter
 -.  carriers ( essential oils)
-. hand mixer
-. Bowl
-. container

                                    DIRECTIONS

Scoop your natural butter in a bowl, add your oils( I used coconut, almond and olive extra virgin oil) generously.
Set your hand mixer to fast and mix for about 10 mins( depending on the quantity of your Shea butter).

Mix till.it becomes fluffy( ice cream like), not liquid, not solid..After whipping, your Shea butter becomes twice the original size,so, make sure you have a container that's big enough at hand.

Scoop, into your container with a spoon and store in a cool dry place.. Do not refrigerate.

Whipped Shea butter, if properly stored could use up to a year!

NB= you can mix some more if you think it isn't fluffy enough. I would have loved to mix so more but PHCN had to show themselves..
Your Shea butter annoys you because it's lumpy, looks local or you are just the type that likes to "tush up" or loves your things looking fancy? Instead of spending a fortune to get this( got mine for 1300) why not try DIY...
